Family spirit and believing in the abilities of teammates are among the two main strengths of Terengganu FC that can help the team emerge as champions of the 2022 FA Cup.
Terengganu FC player, Habib Haroon, said, he saw the determination shown by the team since the first round was very impressive and that has been translated on the field.
In addition, he who acts as a midfielder believes that the competition for the division with JDT is expected to be interesting while not wanting to respect the opponent too much.
“In every match, I believe in the ability of my teammates and we already feel like a family in this team.
“Every match, we consider it as if it were a final match with the incredible commitment given by each player.
“This is what led us to pass from one level to the next despite facing many difficult matches against some of the best teams.
“As for the midfield competition, I along with Petrus (Shitembi) and (Manuel) Ott will try to balance JDT’s strength even though we know the quality of the opponent,” he said.
Habib, who has played in 19 games so far including the FA Cup, has scored three goals in the Super League.
His combination with Ott and Shitembi in the middle often helps the defense line as well as creating a lot of space for the attacking machine consisting of Faisal Halim and Tchetche Kipre.
The enthusiasm of Terengganu supporters is clearly higher as it has been 11 years since they have never won the FA Cup trophy with the last time in the 2011 season.
That matter is clearly a motivation for Habib who can feel that Terengganu’s spirit is at an extraordinary level ahead of the FA Cup final.
Whether it’s in the league competition or any tournament, Terengganu has not won any trophy for a long time.
“When we are on the final stage, of course this is our best chance to end the wait of the Terengganu fans and we will give 120 percent on the day of the match.
“I see that Terengganu really want the FA Cup this time, more than anything else and we will perform with extraordinary spirit,” he said.
